Tips for Designing Cap Lining Machines

Cap Lining MachineThe purpose of a cap lining machine is to add wads and liners securely, safely, and reliably to caps for shipping and sales. If you’d ever opened a bottle of medication, you’d know all about removing the cap and taking out the little piece of cotton. These machines are essential to shipping important and life-saving medication across the globe. Cutting-edge technologies, like robotic arms and vision systems, have been incorporated into cap lining machines to ensure that they can operate in ways that keep up with and exceed global demand.

Businesses should avoid cookie-cutter options for machines because no two businesses are the same. Instead of buying a prefabricated model of machine, you should reach out to our team for custom solutions and problem-solving.

Once you choose to incorporate cap lining machines into your manufacturing process, you need to consider what type of liners you’ll use. The type of liner is essential for designing and engineering automated systems.

PS22 (pressure-sensitive material) – The torque of the cap application is enough to seal this material, which saves on the need for secondary equipment. Often PS22 will have verbiage indicating that the seal is for consumers’ protection.

LDPE – this liner is also referred to as low-density polyethylene, best used when securing harsh chemicals and essential oils. It is predominantly used on glass bottles but is not always recommended on plastic bottles.

HS035 – this material is highly specialized. An induction seal liner is meant to be used with sealing equipment. The material looks silver and is often referred to as a universal induction liner.
