Norwalt is excited to announce our expansion in Tampa Bay, Florida. A satellite site to our primary plant in Randolph, NJ, this new production facility increases both our footprint and capacity, allowing us to better serve clients nationwide and across the globe. Expanding our overall floorspace by 25%, the Tampa Bay facility also has room for adjacent buildouts to accommodate growth in medical devices and other key niches.
Room for growth
The Tampa Bay expansion is rooted both in current necessity and near-future opportunity. In recent years, we’ve seen an unprecedented growth surge, so we have prioritized additional space to accommodate future business growth. Serving customers in a wide array of sectors – from medical devices and food & beverage applications to personal care – we are keenly focused on medical devices and diagnostics as a segment particularly primed for growth. That industry depends upon pristine, tight-tolerance plastics components and products manufacturing, a niche that aligns well with our core engineering expertise.
Additionally, mirroring the New Jersey facility, the Florida plant is utilized for the full range of Norwalt’s concept-to-completion capabilities set: our engineers design, construct, validate and install premium production equipment. This equipment incorporates functionalities that include – but are not limited to – packaging and product assembly, post-mold automation, modular automation cells and robotics systems.
“While we’ve incrementally added floorspace to our New Jersey headquarters over our five decades in business, the Tampa plant marks our first dedicated secondary facility,” said Keith Harman, Director of Business Development for Norwalt. “In an ever-evolving manufacturing environment, demand continues to surge for automation and line integration machinery that minimizes downtime, maximizes efficiency, and tackles otherwise labor-intensive tasks.”
