Poor papa passed away and left the family-owned mega-factory to his two sons. So far so good, but, unfortunately, the plant had seen better days. It was time for a complete retooling. This means all new assembly machines, automated assembling systems, cap lining machines, cap closers, and just about everything else on the factory floor. One brother was quite wise (top quality assembly machines and all else), but the other brother was penny wise and pound foolish (let’s buy cheaper automated assembling systems, cap lining machines, cap closers, assembly machines, etc.). Thus, the great debate did begin. With equal shares in the company, neither of the siblings held sway over the other. Retooling the entire factory floor was needed, that much the pair had agreed upon. The plant’s old assembly machines were worn out, inefficient and long past their prime. The factory’s automated assembly systems were all first generation, and the technology was downright Stone Age. The cap closers, cap lining machinery, and just about everything in the plant had been on its last legs.
High speed assembly machines: Millions of Dollars Must Be Spent on the Most Advanced Automated Assembly machinery, Cap Lining Machines, Cap closing machines and More – Yes, but How Many Millions of Dollars?
If the company was to survive in the highly competitive, global market of the 21st century, maximum efficiencies and production must be achieved at the lowest possible cost. The cheapskate brother pounced on the words lowest possible cost for new assembly machines, automated assembly machinery and all the rest. Yes, said the other brother, but you’re being penny wise and pound foolish (sorry about repeating that, but we’re trying to keep the record straight here). Yes, cheaper cost (quality) cap closers, cap lining machines, assembly machines, etc. would save money in the short run, but do we really want our daddy’s factory floor littered with bargain basement assembly machines? Do we want the family’s pride and joy to suffer because of cut rate cap closers, cap lining machines, automated assembly systems, and a bunch of other junk just because it costs less?
The Assembly Machines Argument Continued – the Automated assembly machinery Debate Went On – the Cap closing machines and Lining machines Discussion Resumed
What happens a few years from now when our second rate assembly machines self-destruct? The truly wise brother makes this point. How much will it cost to replace, again, the cheap cap closers, cap lining machinery, automated assembly systems and all the rest? You can pay now or pay much more later, but it simply makes sense to use only the most durable High speed assembly machines, automated assembly systems, cap lining machines, cap closers and all the rest. It will save us millions down the road by spending the money now on state of the art automated assembly systems, top quality assembly machines, cap lining machinery, etc. The word save (millions down the road) captured the cheapskate’s full attention and the deal had been done!
